Tis the Season to be Social

Allow Your Customers to Comment, Rate, & Review

It is proven that 71% of consumers believe that customer reviews make them feel more comfortable making the correct decision for a product purchase (Nielsen Online Holiday Survey, December 2008). With an entire year passing and the explosion of social media, can you imagine what that number is today?

Vipa Solutions has built in the capability to allow your users to create a social experience around your product, service, or any information that you provide on your website. We have listened to your ideas and want to make it easier for you, as the client, to get more accurate feedback on your website while at the same time allowing your faithful users to advertise for you via word of mouth.

If you have an interest in this, please ask your account coordinator to put together a Vipa Ideas document on how this new enhancement would benefit your website!

Best Practices Tip #3:

Use Vipa Suite to increase your Search Engine Optimization

Vipa Suite has many areas that can be better utilized to optimize your website for search engine crawlers.

  1. Page Titles – Make your page titles count! Being descriptive on your page titles will help your pages get recognized.
  2. Site Description – Write a description describing your business.
  3. Site Keywords – Create single keywords that best describe your website content and separate them with a comma (ex: keyword, website, company name).
  4. Meta Tags – You actually have the opportunity to place these on page levels if you wish.
  5. Content – Content is key for making the search engines recognize your site. There are many tools that you can use to discover what content is being seen as the most important on your site.

How do I...

Add a tooltip to my images?

Adding a tooltip to an image is a great way to explain to users what the image is all about. The tooltip should be kept short, one or two words, to describe what the image is about. Tooltips appear when an image is moused over on your site.

  • Step 1: Click on your image and open “Image Properties” in the Text Editor.
  • Step 2: Click on the “Advanced” tab.
  • Step 3: Add your tooltip to the “Advisory Title” field as shown below.
