Vipa Solutions headquartered in Lincoln NE, has a rewarding software engineering position open on its Vipa Suite development team. Vipa Suite provides national clients a platform of proven processes and web-based tools to effectively market, communicate, and manage online event registration processes.

As a member of this team the successful candidate will work to enhance Vipa Solution’s existing product; develop new products and solutions utilizing superior object-oriented design approach, coding processes, and java libraries. Candidates will also maintain and expand working knowledge of current Vipa Solutions technologies as well as their integrations with third-party technologies.

Requirements:

• Must have or completing a Bachelors degree in computer science.
• Must have 2+ years work experience in software/product development.
• In-depth experience in Web/Internet technologies
• Excellent object-oriented design and development experience using JAVA.
• Demonstrate a strong passion for success as well as work ethic
• Must have strong interpersonal skills and work well in small teams.
• Must have experience in Linux/UNIX environments.
• Must have strong project management interest.
• In-depth experience delivering solutions using relational databases.
• Fast-paced technology environment needing flexible hours.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP networking preferred.
• Knowledge of scripting languages (python, perl, TCL) is preferred
• Strong interest in new technologies
• Passion for continuous improvement personally and professionally.
• The ability to work efficiently in a very fast-paced environment.
• Software architecture design experience preferred.
• An understanding of distributed/concurrent programming is preferred.
